美國6月年通脹率再減至3%，達一年間最低水平，且超於預期的3.1%。 該數據前月錄得3.3%，已連續三個月下降趨勢。 消費者物價指數（CPI）月環比在5月持平後意外地下滑0.1%，其原估值為升0.1%，這是2020年5月以來首見降幅。 

能源價格在通脹冷卻中扮演推手。 整體能源價格漲幅從3.7% 放緩至1%。 汽油價格下降2.5%，而此前上漲2.2%；燃料用油從3.6%降至0.8%。 然而，公用事業天然氣服務價格從0.2% 攀到3.7%。 

在其他方面，住房通脹從5.4% 緩解至5.2%，交通從10.5% 減至9.4%。 服飾類保持在0.8%不變。 新車價格繼續下修（-0.9% vs.-0.8%），且二手車和卡車跟跌（-10.1% vs.-9.3%）。 不過，食品略微上升，從2.1% 增至2.2%。 

核心通脹（排除波動大之食品和能源價格）亦呈現降溫跡象。 核心通脹年率從3.4% 跌至3.3%，達到2021年4月以來的最低點。 核心通脹月率從0.2% 微幅下滑至0.1%，低於預期的0.2%。 種種跡象顯示美國通脹已可控，朝官方目標邁進。
